LEGAL
Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED 4 AUGUST 2026
This policy explains what we do with the information you give us, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, ask — we would rather explain it than have you guess.
01
Who we are
Studio Name is a wedding photography studio based in Toronto, Ontario. When we talk about "we" or "us" in this policy, that is who we mean. We are the data controller for any personal information you give us.
02
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your names, email address, phone number if you give it, your wedding date, venue, guest count and anything you write in the message field.
If you book us we also collect a billing address and the details needed to raise an invoice. We do not store card numbers — payments run through our payment provider and we never see the full number.
03
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, to write and fulfil an agreement if you book us, and to send you your photographs afterwards. That is the whole list.
We will only add you to our newsletter if you asked to be on it. Booking us does not subscribe you to anything.
04
Photographs and your images
Your photographs belong to you to print, share and keep. We retain copyright, which is standard, and we ask for permission before using any image from your day in our portfolio, on social media, or in submissions to publications.
If you would rather we used none of them, say so at any point and we will not. That request does not need a reason and it does not change anything about your coverage or your gallery.
05
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies to remember your preferences and to understand roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can decline non-essential cookies without losing access to anything on the site.
06
Who we share with
Our second photographers and any editor working on your gallery, all of whom are bound by the same confidentiality we are. Our accountant, for invoices. Our gallery host and email provider, who store data on our behalf.
We do not sell your information to anyone, ever, and we do not share it with advertisers.
07
How long we keep it
Enquiries we do not take on are deleted after twelve months. If you book us, we keep contractual and financial records for seven years because we are required to, and your gallery stays live for five years from delivery.
After that we archive one backup copy of your images. If you would like us to delete that too, ask and we will.
08
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page and we will respond within thirty days.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
09
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will email anyone currently booked with us.
10
Contact us
Questions about any of this go to hello@studio.com, or write to us at Studio Name, 000 Example Street, Toronto, Ontario. We would genuinely rather you asked than wondered.
