We started doing this because we were bad at everything else
That is only about half a joke. One of us was an unhappy architect and the other had spent four years photographing bands in rooms that smelled like beer. Neither of those is a career plan. Weddings were an accident — a friend asked, we said yes, and then we could not stop.
Ten years and something like four hundred weddings later, we have shot in eleven countries and roughly the same number of church basements. We have learned that the good bits are almost never the bits people plan. The best photograph from your day will probably be one nobody asked for.
